This project, started in November 2009, is to reconstruct and renovate a preschool / kindergarten for the children of Pambak. 

It will be located in a currently unused part of the Pambak School building.

This project is being sponsored by Vahram and Sonia Pirjanian and is being accomplished with the help of Shen, a non-governmental organization in Armenia, and the sweat equity of the population of Pambak.

The village has over 50 children between the ages of 3 and 5, and most mothers stay at home taking care of them. By opening up a preschool, these children will be taken care of during the day while their mothers can have jobs. Today in several regions of Armenia women involved in agricultural works earn as much as men, therefore a family’s income could be doubled.

Examples of what the funds for this project will be going towards are piping and sewage system; an indoor playground; a sandbox; kitchen and dining furniture; and beds for the children’s naptime.
