The Foundation’s objectives are to conduct charitable work in Armenia and surrounding areas for the advancement of education, preservation of the environment, promotion of health, and relief of poverty.
- Many classrooms, gyms, and playgrounds of Armenia’s villages are in need of construction or renovation. The Yalkezian foundation offers to fund such projects in order to provide a healthy education environment for children to learn and play safely. We also provide scholarships to students in need of financial aid to complete their education.
- Armenia’s stunning environment deserves maintenance and protection, which is why we are open to funding work done to walking and bicycle trails, the planting of trees in barren areas, and maintenance of natural wildlife reserves.
- Part of maintaining the environment is maintaining water systems. We help provide villages with the provision of drinking water and sewage treatment facilities.
- As far as healthcare, the foundation hopes to build or renovate hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, etc. by providing the equipment for such institutions to carry out or carry on their plan. The same goes for mental health counseling institutions, though we also offer to provide training for mental health and social service professionals set to Canadian standards.
- The foundation works towards relief of poverty by providing food, heating, and basic medical needs, i.e. dental hygiene, medicines or vaccinations; to schools, or villages that are in need of such assistance.
The foundation will gratefully accept all donations and issue income tax receipts.
The foundation is governed by a volunteer board of directors.
